Administrative Health Specialist
The health claims field is one of the fastest-growing career opportunities in the health care field. You'll develop a thorough understanding of medical administrative topics including accounting, medical records, terms and conditions of insurance, and rights and obligations of patients, along with an understanding of computer technologies. This occupation is ideal for the individual who wishes to join the health care field in a position that doesn't require performing clinical procedures.
Upon graduation, Porter and Chester will help you secure the kind of enviable, satisfying position for which you've been trained.
Depending on your personal needs and situation, you can choose to attend classes during the day or in the evening.
Day classes meet for 9 months and consist of 45 credit hours (900 actual classroom hours). The attendance schedule is Monday through Thursday 8:30 am – 2:40 pm.
Evening classes meet for 15 months and consist of 45 credit hours (900 actual classroom hours). The attendance schedule is Monday through Thursday from 6:05 pm – 9:45 pm.
The Administrative Health Specialist program is offered in Stratford and Watertown, CT and Chicopee, Massachusetts.
Classes begin in January, April, July, and October.
