HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, & Refrigeration)

Start your new career in as little as 12 short months!

The HVAC/R program prepares you for employment as an HVAC/R technician.

This program will teach you how to install, troubleshoot and repair residential, commercial and industrial heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems.

In the HVAC/R program you will:

  • Prepare for an entry level position in the HVAC/R and related industries. Be it factories, hospitals, restaurants, apartment, commercial or homes, we prepare you for a successful career as an HVAC/R technician
  • • Prepare to earn the Federal EPA certification, R410A Safety certification, and several other industry recognized certifications.
  • Receive Ongoing Placement Assistance. Each PCI campus has full-time Career Services Advisors dedicated to helping all of our graduates find that job that is just right for them.

As a trained HVAC technician, you'll be on the move, working outdoors, being independent and enjoying job security with a skill that can never be outsourced overseas.

HVAC technicians are not stuck in an office day after day; each day brings something different.

Classes are available either in the morning, afternoon, or evening

  • Morning and afternoon HVAC/R Technology classes meet for 12 months and consist of 78 credit hours (1284 classroom and lab hours) of instruction. The attendance schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:15 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., 12:45 p.m. to 6:15 p.m.
  • Evening classes meet for 18 months and consist of 60 credit hours (1200 classroom and lab hours) of instruction. The attendance schedule is Monday through Thursday from 6:15 p.m. to 10:55 p.m.
