Computer and Network Technology
Install and trouble-shoot computers, computer networks, and internet working components. Upgrade and repair computers and peripherals (the equipment connected to computers). Build and maintain networks. Learn the principles and practices of designing, building, and maintaining networks capable of supporting national and global organizations. Develop customer relations and service skills and be able to provide support in both the Microsoft and Macintosh environments. Know your way around in such programs as MS Office and Lotus Notes.
This program enables you to acquire certification for CompTIA A+ and Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP).
Depending on your personal needs and situation you attend classes either in the morning, afternoon, or evening.
Morning and afternoon classes meet for 12 months and consist of 60 credit hours (1200 actual hours) of instruction. The attendance schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 12:40 PM or 12:50 PM to 6:00 PM.
Evening classes meet for 18 months and consist of 50.7 credit hours (1013.6 actual hours) of instruction. The attendance schedule is Monday through Wednesday from 6:05 PM to 10:40 PM.
The Computer & Network Technology Program is offered in Stratford, Watertown, Rocky Hill, Chicopee and Westborough.
Classes begin in January, April, July, and October.
