Dental Assisting
This program covers everything you need to know to get started in this needed, interesting occupation. Dental Assistants are well paid, respected, and have unusually solid job security.
You'll learn how to prep patients, take X-rays, chart teeth, make wax impressions, order equipment and supplies, etc., etc. You'll also learn how to manage a dental office. Upon graduation, you won't have much trouble finding a good job in a dental office with a thriving practice.
Depending on your personal needs and situation you attend classes either in the day or evening.
Day classes meet for 9 months and consist of 39 credit hours (600 actual classroom and lab hours plus 300 hours of externship). The attendance schedule is Monday through Thursday from 8:00am - 2:15pm.
Evening classes meet for 13 and a half months and consist of 39 credit hours (600 actual classroom and lab hours plus 300 hours of externship). The attendance schedule is Monday through Thursday from 6:05pm - 10:15pm.
The Dental Assisting Program is offered in Branford, Canton, Chicopee, Enfield, Rocky Hill, Stratford, Watertown and Westborough.
Classes begin in January, April, July, and October.
