Industrial, Commercial, & Residential Electrician
Learn how to install electrical power distribution systems in manufacturing plants, multi-story office buildings, and homes. Acquire the knowledge and skill needed to repair motors, transformers, generators, and electronic controllers on machine tools and industrial robots. Develop an understanding of the National Electrical Code and how to apply it so that the installations you wire are safe for yourself and the occupants.
The course work in this program prepares you to take the L-6 and E-2 license exams.
Upon graduation we'll help you locate the kind of a high-paying, enviable job that competent electricians qualify for.
Depending on your personal needs and situation you attend classes either in the morning, afternoon, or evening.
Morning and afternoon classes meet for 12 months and consist of 60 credit hours (1200 actual hours) of instruction. The attendance schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 12:40 PM or 12:50 PM to 6:00 PM.
Evening classes meet for 18 months and consist of 48 credit hours (960 actual hours) of instruction. The attendance schedule is Monday through Wednesday from 6:05 PM to 10:40 PM.
The Industrial, Commercial, & Residential Electrician Program is offered in Stratford, Branford, Watertown, Rocky Hill, Enfield, Chicopee and Westborough.
Classes begin in January, April, July, and October.
