Practical Nursing
The Practical Nursing Program is a fifteen month, 230 day program designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge necessary for direct nursing care of clients in a variety of settings such as hospitals, long-term care facilities, clinics and doctors offices.
This course of study prepares the graduate to provide nursing care to individuals with common health problems at each stage of the life span. The student is prepared to function within the nursing roles of provider of care, manager of care and member of the health care team.
In addition to instruction and laboratory experience in a constantly evolving on-site facility, students also are able to experience a hands-on education in a variety of clinical settings including direct access to patients.
Upon successful completion of the Program, the graduate is eligible to take the Practical Nurse Licensing Examination. Once the Examination is passed, you are qualified to secure a well paying, promising career in this growing field.
The Practical Nursing Program is offered in Branford, Enfield, Rocky Hill and Watertown.
Class days are from 9am to 3:30 pm. and clinical days are from 8am to 3pm. Monday through Thursday.
