Beacon–Skilled Trades Scholarships
High school seniors interested in our Automotive Technology, Career Electronics Systems Technician, Career HVACR and Career Industrial, Commercial and Residential Electrician programs may apply for the PCI Beacon–Skilled Trades scholarship.
Scholarships cannot be transferred from one campus to another. Candidates interested will be selected based upon demonstrated achievement on standardized exams. The ten highest scores will then be invited to have a personal interview with a panel designated by PCI. In addition, each candidate must provide 3 letters of recommendation and provide high school transcripts. The combination of test scores and interview will determine the scholarship recipients.
Beacon–Health and Technology Scholarships
High school seniors interested in our CADD Technology, Career Computer & Network Technology, Dental Assisting, Medical Assisting, Medical Billing and Coding and Practical Nursing programs may apply for the PCI Beacon–Health and Technology scholarship.
Scholarships cannot be transferred from one campus to another. Candidates interested will be selected based upon demonstrated achievement on standardized exams. The six highest scores will be asked to write an essay on why they have chosen their particular path. In addition, each candidate must provide 3 letters of recommendation, provide high school transcripts and have a personal interview with a panel designated by PCI. The combination of test scores, essay score and interview will determine the scholarship recipients.
Please join us on one of the testing dates to complete the scholarship assessment. Career Program Specialists will be available for campus tours and to discuss program information. High School students that have already applied to Porter and Chester Institute are encouraged to attend however enrollment is not a requirement to take the scholarship assessment.
Community Advancement Grant for Certified Nursing Assistants
For Certified Nursing Assistants interested in advancing their career through training in our Practical Nursing program, PCI offers a $2,000 CNA grant in recognition of all the hard work CNAs have already put into their career. In order to apply for this grant, a valid CNA certificate must be presented during the admissions process.
